A Week of Deep Embodiment, Practice and Inner Awakening

Join me for a powerful 7 day immersion in Tantric Hatha Yoga set in the heart of Western Australia's coastal wilderness.

Held at the serene Gnarabup Yoga Studio in Margaret River - just minutes from the beach and surrounded by the Leeuwin- Naturaliste National Park and the Cape to Cape walking trails- this training is designed for those ready to deepen their personal practice, reconnect with ancient yogic wisdom, and experience the profound, living essence of Tantra.

This is not just a yoga training - it's a transmission.

what to expect each day

tantric hatha practices

"This path is not about flexibility or performance  - it's about energy, clarity and awakening"

Each day in this training begin and ends with dedicated Tantric Hatha sadhana - systematic, intelligently sequenced practice sessions designed to awaken, purify, and stabilise your inner energy system.

Tantric Hatha is a potent and refined system that works with the subtle body as its primary focus. It's not about doing more; it's about doing with intention. Every breath, posture and technique is a gateway to inner mastery.

What you'll practice:

Asana (Posture) - Not for fitness, but to stabilise prana and prepare the body for energy work. Poses are held with precision, presence and inner awareness - not flow for flow's sake. Expect longer holds, deeper stillness and energetic alignment.

Pranayama (Breathwork) - Breath is the bridge between body and consciousness. You'll be guided through powerful breath practices to purify nadis (energy channels), balance the nervous system, and direct life force toward higher states.

Bandha (Energetic Locks) -  Engage the body's internal locks (mula, uddiyana, jalandhara) to harness energy, increase vitality, and direct prana upward. Bandhas are key to advanced energetic refinement.

Mudra ( Gestures of Energy Control) - These subtle but powerful techniques seal and circulate prana, creating a container for deep inner absorption and meditative states. They are often misunderstood - but here, you'll learn them in their full context.

Kriya (Completed Action)- You'll be introduced to foundational Kriyas - purification techniques from the Tantric tradition that awaken dormant energy and cleanse the energetic and mental bodies. These may include practices such as nauli, kapalabhati, and trataka as well as subtle meditative kriyas designed to stir inner transformation.

Mantra (Vibrational Sound)- Mantra is vibration medicine and a direct transmission of consciousness. We work with bija mantras, Tantric bija sound maps and longer invocations to purify the mind, awaken the heart and activate the subtle centres (chakras). Chanting will be a living practice - not performance, but invocation.

Meditation - Each practice leads towards dhyana (meditative absorption). Through breath, sensation, mantra and awareness of the inner space, you'll develop a stable seat of witness consciousness. This is where the real alchemy happens.

Expect daily practices to include both solar (active) and lunar (receptive) sequences, in harmony with the natural rhythms of the day and the unique energetic needs of the group.

This training does not teach asana choreography. It teaches inner technology - how to use the body, breath and awareness as tools for profound self- realisation.

philosophy and subtle anatomy

"Yoga is not something we do, it's what we become"

In this training, we go far beyond surface-level technique and into the subtle dimensions of yogic wisdom. Each day we explore the inner cosmology of Tantra - not as a philosophy to memorise, but as a map to directly experience your multidimensional nature. We'll work with the foundational frameworks of classical Tantra and Yoga:

Kundalini Shakti - understanding the evolutionary force within, and how Tantric Hatha awakens it safely and sustainably.

The Koshas - the five sheaths of human experience, from gross to subtle, and how practice affects each layer.

The Three Gunas - sattva, rajas and tamas as the energetic qualities behind everything we feel, think and do.

The Chakras and Nadis - energetic centres and channels as real, felt structures - not metaphors.

Prana Vayus - the five movements of vital energy and how they are refined and harmonised through asana, breath and bandha.

Shiva & Shakti - not just deities, but principles of consciousness and energy at the heart of all practice.

Each teaching session will combine direct instruction, experiential embodiment, and inner reflection. You'll come away not only with knowledge, but with felt understanding - anchored in your body, breath and awareness.

ritual and devotion

"Ritual is the language of the soul"

Tantra recognises that everything is sacred - and that when we slow down, align intention with presence and open the heart, the mundane becomes mystical.

Throughout the training, you'll be invited into daily and ceremonial practices that reconnect you with the sacred pulse of life.

These include:

Mantra and Bhakti Practices - working with bija mantras and sacred chants to awaken specific energies and states of consciousness.

Fire Ritual (Agni Hotra) - when conditions allow, we'll share a traditional fire offering to invoke transformation, release and renewal

Sacred Silence (Mauna) - daily periods of silence to tune your awareness inward and honour the inner temple

Sunrise or Sunset Meditations - connecting with the natural rhythms of the sun as the original guru of Hatha Yoga

These elements aren't added for atmosphere - they're integral. Ritual is how the teachings move from theory into the heart. Devotion is how the practice becomes a living presence in your life.

Nature and stillness

Time to walk in wildflowers, swim in the ocean, and simply be. This is how we embody the teachings - through connecting with beauty, nature and the quiet inner stillness of our soul.

is this for you?

This training is for practitioners, teachers and seekers who:

Have a sincere personal practice and are ready to go deeper

Want to experience yoga beyond posture and performance

Are drawn to Tantra as a spiritual path - not a modern trend

Open to intensity, subtlety, silence and transformation

If you are a yoga teacher, this training will set you apart from the pack and offer you new insights into teaching and sharing the Yogic tradition.
