Hey There
My name is Cassandra Pickel and this is me in one of my favourite places, the Gili Islands in Indonesia, doing one of my favourite things, snorkelling and exploring the underwater world.
Ayurveda and Yoga have been a big part of my life now for around 30 years. They have changed me in ways I would never have expected, but definitely for the better. Sharing their benefits through classes, therapies and retreats is a passion for me. I never feel like I am working, just simply giving from my heart. And I'd love to share it with you!
About Me
I've been teaching Yoga in Exmouth since 2015 and running retreats since 2018, as Inner Power Yoga (Australia). I completed my 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training with VIYETT (Victorian Institute of Yoga Education and Teacher Training) in 2015 and over the years I have continued to study further with now in excess of 1000 hrs of teacher trainings with some of the worlds top teachers including Rod Stryker, Bernie Clarke and Kavitha Chinnayain. Since 2020, I have focussed my studies primarily on Ayurveda including completing 100 hours of Ayurvedic Yoga trainings with Brad Hay and Ayurvedic Therapy training with Lydia Rega.
Ningaloo Ayurveda and Yoga has come about to better reflect where I am right now in business. It's expanded and grown and now includes Ayurvedic Therapies and simple, practical Lifestyle Consults. Of course, yoga and retreats are still a big part of what I do, but now my offerings are so much more. The West is often so focused on movement based yoga with most classes only asana or postures, that much of the depth and real meaning of this ancient Vedic practice has been watered down until it's barely recognisable. I'm committed to teaching all three ancient streams of Vedic knowledge - Ayurveda, Yoga and Tantra (not the weird neo-Western sex based version, but the householders path of spiritual awakening). Sure they can be taught individually, but when they are weaved together as they should be and as they are intended, true magic happens.
This is what I want to share, so that we can all grow, become more aware of ourselves and our connection to each other and all things, and perhaps most importantly to remember who we truly are - brighter than 10,000 suns - fierce, courageous and powerful as well kind, loving and full of grace and sweetness.
Please feel free to reach out, I'd love to have the honour of helping to guide you towards your wholest and most vibrant self.
Om Sri Matre Namah!
